The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Dennis Idahosa, has revealed why the son of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, will be the commissioner for health in Edo State.
GNtv Reporters learnt that the Deputy Governor said Oshiomhole’s son will be the commissioner for health because he is a qualified medical practitioner who has all it takes to deliver in that capacity.
He added that the governor decided to include him in the cabinet because of the vision he has for Edo State, not because he is Oshiomhole’s son.
Deputy Governor Dennis Idahosa said this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme on Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
In the video shared by Channels, he said: “Adams Oshiomhole’s son, just like anyone else’s son, has his own destiny.
“Cyril Oshiomhole is a seasoned medical doctor. He has everything it takes to be in the cabinet.
“Being Oshiomhole’s son doesn’t forbid him from leading a team he is capable and competent to lead. For this reason, he will be in the cabinet as the commissioner for health.
“The governor is including him in his cabinet because of the vision he has for the state, not because he’s Oshiomhole’s son”.
