The Executive Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo has assured Governor Sim Fubara of the support of Obio/Akpor people to lead the State for 8 years.
Amadi Eze, media aide to Ambassador Ihunwo, said the council chairman gave the assurance during the commissioning of Okocha road by the Governor in Rumuolumeni community, Obio/Akpor local government area on Tuesday.

Ihunwo also appealed to the Governor to approve the construction of adjoining road, and build more classrooms in Rumuolumeni secondary school to accommodate more students.

“Your Excellency, on behalf of the people of Obio/Akpor, we want to sincerely thank you for this laudable project. This Okocha road is an important road in our local government and we must thank you specially for awarding and completing this road.

“Your Excellency, we want to also appeal to you, that this road has adjoining road, that you should help us construct the road, and build more classrooms in Rumuolumeni secondary school to accommodate more students.
“Your Excellency, our people ask me to tell you that there is no amount of intimidation that will stop us from supporting you, that other governors governed for eight years, we will support you to also govern for eight years,” he said.
