Former spokesperson of the Labour Party, Kenneth Okonkwo, has criticised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the worst statement he made during his media chat scoring himself excellent.
GNtv Reporters learnt that Kenneth Okonkwo said this during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Tuesday, December 24, 2024.
Recall that Tinubu had said his administration has performed excellently because he fulfilled
Nigeria’s financial obligations for three consecutive months without relying on NNPC remittance and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
According to the video shared by Channels, Kenneth Okonkwo said:
“The worst statement the president made during the presidential chat was scoring himself excellent.
“Tinubu said he has done an excellent job, but we’ve had the national grid collapse for about 12 times in the last 12 months.
“It has never happened like that in Nigeria’s history, meaning the power is not accessible and affordable.
“More than a thousand people have been kidnapped. With these issues, how can he say he has done an excellent job?”
