The Court of Appeal in Abuja has overturned the ban on Uche Secondus, Celestine Omehia, and Austin Oparas of PDP. This ruling reverses a previous Federal High Court decision that barred the trio from attending top party meetings.

The Appeal Court declared that the lower court had no jurisdiction to interfere in the internal matters of the party. The decision was taken by a three man panel. The court’s decision underscores that party affairs, like who attends the National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings, are not matters for judicial intervention.
