In a touching display of compassion, the Dr. Andrew A. Igwe Care Foundation (DAAICF), led by its founder, Dr. A. A. Igwe, visited the eldest man and woman in all 16 communities of Egi Kingdom on March 31, 2025.

The foundation, committed to caring for the less privileged, provided foodstuffs, toiletries, and cash gifts to the elderly, earning heartfelt prayers and gratitude from recipients and their families. This was confirmed in a publication aired by DAAICF MEDIA.
Hope Restored for the Forgotten

Elder Blacky Isabu of Erema Community expressed deep appreciation, recalling how the foundation’s past visit in December 2023 rekindled hope among the elderly who once felt forgotten. Similarly, Elder Nwobi of Itu Community was overwhelmed with gratitude, initially inquiring if the initiative was government-sponsored. Upon learning it was purely from the foundation’s goodwill, he showered the team with prayers.
Undeterred by the Elements
In Umu Obor Zone, rain showers symbolically marked the occasion, yet the team remained undeterred, continuing their mission with even greater enthusiasm.
The smiles and emotional reactions of the elderly underscored the profound impact of the foundation’s gesture. Many community members joined in prayers for God’s continued provision for DAAICF, ensuring the foundation can keep supporting the aged, as “Grey hair is a blessing.”
