Dr. Adaeze Oreh Breaks Silence: Denies Allegations, Calls for Unity and Truth in Rivers State

Port Harcourt, Nigeria — May 2, 2025
Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh, the 27th Honourable Commissioner for Health in Rivers State, has publicly refuted recent claims accusing her of disrupting an empowerment program organized by the First Lady. In a firm statement, she described the allegations as “entirely unfounded, completely false, and a product of the sick imagination of rumour mongers and conflict entrepreneurs.”

Reacting to a statement allegedly issued by the “Concerned Rivers Youth Organisation,” Dr. Oreh challenged the group to provide verifiable evidence to support their claims. “It is essential to base criticisms on facts rather than speculation or puerile political agendas,” she stated.

Dr. Oreh clarified that she has had no involvement in any efforts to embarrass or interfere with the state’s interim administration, which was installed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the declaration of a state of emergency on March 18, 2025. Instead, she revealed that she has spent her time away from office focusing on her doctoral studies and personal development.

Reaffirming her dedication to the progress and well-being of Rivers State, Dr. Adaeze Chidnma Oreh urged political actors and the public to embrace a culture of truth, respect, and constructive dialogue. “Unsubstantiated wild claims undermine trust and hinder constructive engagement, this is not what our state needs at this difficult and delicate time,” she emphasized.

Calling for unity, she concluded by encouraging stakeholders and citizens alike to prioritize transparency, collective progress, and integrity in building a better future for Rivers State.

Signed:
Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh
27th Honourable Commissioner for Health, Rivers State.
