Another House of Reps Member Abandons Labour Party to Join APC

Another Labour Party member in the Federal House of Representatives, Dalyop Chollom, has abandoned the Labour Party to join the All Progressives Congress, APC.

This comes about a week after four LP members joined the APC. Chollom represents Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency of Plateau State.

His letter of resignation from the party was read by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

According to a report made by Channels Television on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the Plateau State Rep defected to APC because of the political crisis rocking his party and his desire to secure a better representation for his people in Plateau State.

GNtv Reporters learnt that Chinedu Okere (Owerri municipal/owerri north/Owerri west constituency), Mathew Donatus (Kaura federal constituency of Kaduna), Akiba Bassey (Calabar municipal/Odukpani constituency), and Esosa Iyawe (Oredo federal constituency of Edo) also joined APC from Labour Party barely a week ago.
